A New Jersey civil engineer believes he has the solution to America’s energy issues but says he is having a hard time getting the message out. Mike Strizki uses around 150 solar panels to generate enough electricity to meet his personal needs, including supplying power for a big screen TV and an outdoor hot tub. He uses fuel cells to convert the solar rays to electricity and stores the excess power in hydrogen tanks. He is able to use the solar cells about eight or nine months out of the year and during the winter or inclement weather, Strizki’s home runs on the stored power.
